There’s something special brewing in North Georgia—and we’re not just talking moonshine. Introducing Still Site BBQ, a new competition team made up of moonshiners, brewers, and now, full-blown pitmasters.
Founded in 2024 by commercial distillers Kurt Romanosky and Vann Rymer, Still Site BBQ was born from long conversations around the still and a shared love for all things smoked, slow-cooked, and bold in flavor. What started as off-the-clock cookouts and praise from friends quickly turned into a bigger vision: competing on the professional BBQ circuit.
To round out their fire-powered team, they brought on longtime friend and outdoor cooking expert David "Tunes" Antunes. With skill, flavor, and a good bit of Southern grit, the team is officially stepping into the KCBS Backyard Class for the 2025 season, focusing on events across North Georgia.
