Our Story
Like most good things in the South, Hoot’s Sauce started with two friends, a grill, and a whole lot of flavor. Back in the 1960s, Glynn’s father-in-law and his buddy crafted the original recipe at family cookouts — and it quickly became the kind of sauce that people remembered (and asked for again and again).
Over the years, the sauce made its way into jars, then gift baskets, then kitchens across town. After hearing how much people loved using it in their own family recipes, Glynn and his son Colby knew it was time to share the tradition with everyone.
But it didn’t stop there. Glynn’s daughter, the family’s official sweet tooth, inspired a second recipe — a Sweet Sauce with bold, rich flavor and just the right touch of southern sweetness. After years of taste tests and tweaks, it became just as loved as the original.
