About us

Hoot's Sauce started like anything good does in the south, just 2 ​friends cooking together. Glynn's father-in-law and his friend ​started making the original sauce back in the 1960s at family get ​togethers for many years. The sauce was part of bringing family and ​friends together and was always a favorite that kept people coming ​back for more. After years of giving the barbecue sauce out as gifts ​and hearing that people loved using it in their home with their family ​recipes, Glynn and his son Colby decided it was time to share this ​family sauce with all of you.


In addition to our original sauce, we also offer a sweet sauce. ​Glynn's daughter has always had a sweet tooth and had been nudging ​him to create a sweet sauce for her. After years of testing, refining, ​and sharing the new sauce with friends, he developed a recipe that ​has the bold and rich flavors you expect from a sweet and savory ​sauce. This has been one of our friends and family’s favorite for ​years.
